Head of Purchasing APAC Adhesive Technologies and Head of Purchasing Gr. China

• Member of the Global Purchasing BU Management Team.
  
• Closely works with business on strategic roadmaps and connects them with the best sourcing solutions - ensures BU awareness of market trends on material availability, cost development, impact on competitive landscape for regional spend.
  
• Drives savings initiatives on behalf of BU, regionally and for all categories.
  
• Attracts, develops and retains regional sourcing talent, is directly responsible for managing / steering all regional purchasing team.
  
• Ensures the full potential of the Regional Supply Base can be identified, evaluated and leveraged.
  
• Proactively leads the regional team to manage all opportunities, risks and volatility which may arise; challenges and enriches goals and strategies, incl. all short, mid and long-term financial targets and any risk mitigation strategies.
  
• Guarantees delivery of all regional targets through best-in-class execution of strategies and action plans, validated with and by the global purchasing hubs.

YOUR SKILLS

• More than 10 years working experience, ideally in strategic sourcing, purchasing or related job families.
  
• Strong business acumen with a wide professional and commercial knowledge of purchasing.
  
• Chemical, Automotive and Electronic industry knowledge is a plus.
  
• Strong leadership, vision and strategy setting, communication, influencing, collaboration and talent development skills are required.
  
• Multi-country and Multi sector experience preferred with experience across geographies of varied sizes and businesses.
  
• Capability of working in a cross-functional and in a complex environment with different businesses and stakeholders.
  
• High resilience, capability to cope with fast change.
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English & Mandarin.
